Bahamas Be Ready

Includes a credential that shall be awarded to an individual who successfully passes the assessments, at a minimum, in professionalism, time management, communication, problem-solving, collaboration, resilience, digital literacy skills, and academic skills such as mathematics and reading, and the employability skills listed in the course catalog.

The purpose of this program is to enhance the workplace skills of Bahamians and better prepare them for successful employment in specific occupations.

The program can be conducted in public or private middle and high schools, Bahamian college system institutions, technical centers, one-stop career centers, vocational rehabilitation centers, and corrections juvenile facilities. The program is available to other entities that provide job training.

The Bahamas Be Ready Credential Program is composed of employability skills currently in demand by employers globally. At a minimum, the employability skills must include professionalism, time management, communication, problem-solving, collaboration, resilience, digital literacy skills, academic skills, such as mathematics and reading, and employability skills laid out in the program catalog. This program is a great fit for high school graduates entering the job market for the first time.

Assessment questions come from the following courses: professionalism, time management, communication, problem-solving, collaboration, resilience, digital literacy skills, and academic skills such as mathematics and reading. To earn 3 credits the assessment must be passed at a minimum and the subject areas mentioned here must be completed.
